2.01 OS DK issues

Post by A.K. »

I hope that I am doing this right and if not please accept my apology.

First of all I see that some of you guys have no more DK custom set problems. I still have the same problem. It only occurs in 2.0 and 2.01. When I load 1.6 the problem is resolved.

I have custom set which i load, in there it asks if i want to load favorites so loaded favorites as well. However the User 1 user 2 User 3 are fine and I think thats because they are all samples but when i go to favorites my drum sets are all off. How exactly do you load a custom set? I know Nedim has gone over this in few posts for some reason I have yet to still resolve the problem.

Help would be appreciated.

There are number of posts about this, just go back and read them.

You have to load 1.6 OS and than load your set, go to Sound mode and click on every DK and than write, after that save your set and load OS2 and it will work fine.

So long as your keyboard says that it is running OS2.01 when youy power up, then the import issue has been fixed and User Drumkits from Pa80 will import directly.

It appears that the custom set made was probably from another keybaord. My user 1-3 styles are fine because they are all samples. Evertything else is all mixed up. I thought that 1.6 was working even in 1.6 the set does not work. I wish korg would do something about these problems. 90% of my sets are custom sets and yet useless to me!

Someone please guide me to the correct post on how to import custom sets into the keyboard. Thanks

There is not a simple answer to your question. It is also possible that you have an incorrect user SET which is corrupted, bad sampling etc.

Please use the SEARCH option for CUSTOM SET or something like that.

Hello A.K.

There are several tutorials about how to have safe .SETs here:

http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... c&start=15

Unfortunately the .SET files from your Pa800 are not safe ones, and that is why you are having difficulties. If you follow the guidelines in the tutorials you will not have problems in future.

Best regards,
Rob
