LegacyCell not showing up in vst plugins

Post by Baby Evil »

The MS20, Poly, Wavestation and MDFX are showing up, but the Legacy Cell isn't. All the dll's are in the same folder.

Any ideas?

thanks,

There must be a bug with LegacyCell with some configurations. I know all plugs from the original Legacy are working on my Receptor apart from LegacyCell.

You should describe what system and host you're using.

I have a Latitude laptop with XP, Pentium M, 2 G Ram

It never showed up in Cubase, and it doesn't now in Sonar

So it's not working for you in Cubase or Sonar. Which one ?

In any case, apart from specifying what version of Cubase and Sonar LegacyCell doesn't work with, there is nothing you can do. As I said earlier, LegacyCell has proved time and time again to be problematic, and Korg never released a fix for that.

It doesn't show up in either.

I love it as a standalone live synth, but I'd like to be able to record now.

The issue seems to be known, hasn't Korg commented on it at all?

Nope. I've never seen any comment acknowledging a problem with LegacyCell, but this issue turns up all the time.

Is there a way to get in contact with Korg directly? From what I can find, I can only contact our local distributor

None I know of. The developer from Korg Japan reads this forum sometimes.

I was thinkig of buying the Korg Legacy Analogue version only for the legacy cell, but what is the sense it does not work as a plug -in.
I will just stick with the Korg Legacy Digital Edition as I still think its the best set of synth to date for compositon of any genre of music and I mean any genre. They are other synths but they seem to be specialized in making only a special type of music. Korg Legacy Digital Edition has it all.

I know that there have been complaints about Legacy not showing up in certain programs, but I have Cubase SL3 and have never had a problem with it not showing up there. By the way, I have all latest updated versions of KLC, including the Mono/Poly ( which I highly recommend ) and copy protected with a Syncrosoft key using the one key for Cubase and the KLC.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, sorry I can't help the guys who are having problems, but it seems that Legacy Cell shows up fine for most people.

You need to persist with the support department of the country you live in. I'm sure with full details they will be able to help...

It finally worked

Post by mjammer »

Yup, I just updated my Sequencer to the latest version then installed the Legacy Analog Edition as stand alone and asp plugin; the plugins (dll. ect)are normally stored in a folder called stienberg which is most times located in My computer/Program files.

I then copied all the files in that folder to the VST folder that my sequencer uses then reload the VST folder or close and open my sequencer program and Legacy cell finally works.

Its a pity I am using the demo version.

Is the Anolog edition downloadable after purchase or is it only available in the boxed verssion? I already purchased the digital edition.
