Drum Rolls in Kontrol49

Hi there,I would like to know if it is possible to make drum rolls using the joystick of the Kontrol 49. I've seen it can be done in the Padkontrol using the X/Y pad.
I'm thinking of buying the kontrol49 but I'd like to know if it offers the same functions as the padkontrol.
