Suggestion for next Radias OS: filter pan

Post by invalidbuffalo »

One feature I would like to see added in the next OS is the ability to pan the output of each filter left or right. You get a very cool stereo effect when you pan one oscillator left and another oscillator with the same waveform, slightly detuned, right. Currently, the only way to do that on the Radias is with two separate timbres.

now this is a subject i like the look of. i would like to see more patch editer points like arp step count, lfo wave change, effect mix level, and more effect patches would give the radias a new edge over the rest. arp gate time, osc wave change patch, i think korg helped design emagics synths like the es-2 which has 16 patch points, with call things like cut 1-2 inlv, cut1=2 sync patch. correct me if im wrong please. there is a long road head of korg with this synth. lets hope for new os system in the future. plus a wav converter in fm radias formation data for the vocader would be nice. better wav editer in the software would help with the over all use of the vox.

just for a quicky.

i hope korg will take note of tyhings said on the forum. thay are a cool company with a sound of there own and ligth years ahead of the game.
i look forward to new release for them. os and products

I like the V2.0, but I still feel a lack of virtual patch destinations.

some things i would like to see:

- modulation dest for the shape parameter for LFOs
- modulation dest for the punch level parameter
- modulation dest for analogue detune parameter
- modulation source based on the analogue detune pitch difference (to make other parameters vary randomly on keypress e.g. cutoff, shape, etc).
- ability to put the waveshaper BETWEEN the two filters, and
- ability to reverse the order of the filters (2 > 1)
- ability to assign mod seq to insert FX param knobs. would only work in timbre trigger mode because IFX are not poly.
- ability to turn arp and SSeq on and off without stopping the sound. this should be a basic feature which seems to be missing a lot.
- I also thought step pattern sequencing could work quite easilly if they allowed you to reference step patterns like you do timbres, if you think about it the radias has storage space for 512 step sequencer patterns (sseq 1&2 for EACH program). if we could point to these as a number instead of having them anchored to a program...
- POLY AFTERTOUCH
- something not on any other synth but i've wanted for a while to have a sample & hold or stepped EG mode.

Regarding my first post, I found a simple workaround that accomplishes exactly what I want: enable 2-voice unison, set the detune to 1-5 cents, and set the spread to 127.
