hi everyone, one of my buddies has the PAx1 model and he recently purchased a CD that has different sound effects that was created on a PA800. What can he do to transfer the cd from PA800 format to PAX1 format? I know nothing about keyboards and i wanted to give him a hand. any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is this "CD" he has purchased? If it is a CD comprising PA2XPro/PA800 format files and also, if I correctly understand your question, then the answer is you cannot do this. The PA1XPro is not forward compatible with the newer models (even at OS 3.01). There are several styles that have come from the PA2XPro/PA800 that have been converted for PA1X use but as for effects, I don't think you will have much joy.
You must be very careful loading files that are not compatible.
