Ask the buyer for Name, e-mail adress, Adress and so on (User information on korguser.net).
Login to Your user account on korguser.net.
Change the user information.
Change the password to a temporary password (12345 or so).
Inform the buyer of the new password.
He can change the password again.

You don't have to inform KORG.

Hello,

Can someone confirm this operation is legal and authorized by Korg ?

I am planning to sell my Korg Legacy Analog Edition (with the MS-20 controller), so I am interested on the procedure ;)

It isn't. The second buyer essentially must pretend to be you. This is called personation, and it's a criminal offence. Check out the license agreement here:

Well, it isn't "our" software -- it's KORG's. They sell us a license to use it. The license they choose to sell to us is non-transferable. By installing the software, we choose to accept these terms.

Not terribly user-friendly, I agree, but that's the deal as KORG have made it.

However, there's nothing at all to stop you from selling the MS-20 controller by itself.

Kind regards.

OK, that's what I will do : sell my MS-20 controller.

So I couldn't use KLC any more, and the buyer need a cracked version to use it

Wouldn't be thinking of even selling if it they would act like they care about it,and offered some new features.. I still haven't sold it,but wanted to know how to do so,in the future if need be.

Korg you guys are entirely too slow.. How about a friendly gesture to your customers, like an update or bugfix once a year.... ???

I thought it had long been established that the controller is NOT a software key? its just an optional controller..

In the first version (KLC analog), the MS-20 controller is a dongle.
For the other versions (Digital), you need a SynchroSoft key.

Nevertheless, in my case, my wife just did a veto : she wants I play with the MS-20

It wasn't. The first version was challenge/response protected and worked perfectly well without the controller.

I hear what you're saying about the licence only being for one person and under the terms of the agree we cannot resell. However, I bought an original KLC on ebay and in the hassles of trying to upgrade/install/synchrosoft (tears forming) I found the guys at Korg support to be really understanding and helpful. As far as I'm aware, I'm the only one using my copy, certainly the only one registered (and dongled now) so with the above provisos in mind I'd give it a go.

All the best
