Hi auto-lock,

here´s an idea how you could do this with a little trick:

First instead of doing a split, make sure both timbres are layered by setting the same
top and bottom notes for both timbres(detail edit).
Now go into one v-patch of each timbre and set as source keytracking, as destination amp level.
Set the P.Int of Timbre1 to -64 (full left) and on timbre2 to 63 (full right).
Now there should be a linear blend between the two patches if they have the same
timbre volume. Be careful with the volumes of the timbres, you might have to lower them a bit
to protect your ears & speakers. You need to experiment with the values to find the right amounts.

note: you can also work with a combination of overlapping keyzones and the keytracking to amp
v.patch trick to ensure that you have the timbres single and clear in the lower and upper keys.
Then only the overlapping area of the Timbres would fade in/out.

greetz,
Unfortunately, this will hog your l voicesmulti-timbrae if you layer the complete kybd... I would instead a partial layer or overlapped splits...
