Need Help: Trouble Recording Midi Notes from MicroKORG

Hi,

I recently got a used MicroKorg off of eBay, and I'm having trouble recording midi notes on Sonar.

My set up is MicroKorg -> M-Audio MIDISport Uno (MIDI-USB) -> Vista 64 laptop/Sonar

When I've tried to record midi, it doesn't record midi notes, and when I use the mod and pitch wheel, it records a bunch of Patch events.

I've been troubleshooting it over at the Cakewalk forum where there are more details of the troubleshooting and screen shots (it would be a lot to reproduce here):

I am new to both midi and the MicroKorg, and I'm wondering if the problem sounds like a MicroKorg issue or a MIDISport issue. I've been able to play the Korg with midi on the laptop. The issue seems to be on the MicroKorg. Perhaps I'm just not doing the settings correctly to output MIDI to Sonar.

I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!

OK, I may have figured this out myself... It seems that the MIDISport is incompatible with the MicroKorg. People on the M-Audio forum have discussed it:
