PA500 Oriental
Hi all..
I'm new to this forum... I need some help and suggestions regarding the new Korg PA500 ORT, or "Oriental"
I'm in process of buying a KB to play Oriental music with... I was about to get the Yamaha OR700, but I just heard that Korg has a new Oriental version of the PA500... I haven't been able to look up any info on it on the web such as the built in "oriental" sounds and styles
I was wondering if anyone already owns one or if anyone has info about it... I just need some feed back weather I should go with the Korg or get the Yamaha..
Thank you..

No this is not the same, this is PA500 Turkije. Oriental, few weeks ago Jerry,
Korg USA Menager invited me to go review the synth nd we went with
Abdallah Safar from MIDI EAST. Dont confuse your self, there is 3 different
versions of it, one is Oriental for the Arabic world, one is Turkiye and one is
Persian, they are all different, i reviewed only the Oriental version.
It is a very good machine, everything is based on Bassam Ayoub's USB stick.
You have the user scale taken out for easy acces. All the styles and sound are
in ROM. For that you have separate Oriental banks. What else to tell you i dont
know since everything comes down to personal taste.

Yes, the ORT is for Middle Eastern musicians and is different from the Turkey model, or the Chinese model, or the German model (not that you'd likely confuse that one!).
We're just finishing getting the images, text and demos and will have the web page built in a week or so. It's a very good instrument, well-suited for a lot of Middle Eastern musicians. Wait for the demos etc. and you'll see... er, I mean, hear.
Regards,
Jerry

Hi Korg4me. Did you not receive a CD with your Keyboard? If so the operating system should be on there....

Sorry for confusion. I was just asking in general , if it's possible to have your own sounds and drum kits that are not based on internal sounds with PA 500.korg4me wrote:yes it contain user DK/Sounds, before erasing the Musical Resources but now there is nothing, so i must re-load the Musical Resources to bring it back
