Is there hope for my Zero4?

Post by S0R3N »

Hi everybody!

Ive lurked around the forums before buying the Zero4 and now that I have one I knew I would be coming back.

When I start up my Zero4 I get the message "E001" flashing in my bpm display. It is not recognized at all by my Intel Macbook Pro (2.4ghz running 10.5.6). I've tried different firewire cables and the firewire jack is functioning.

My firmware is original and I can't update because the computer does not think the mixer is connected.

I have called Korg Product support and they have no idea what that error message means.

I went to a pro-audio repair store but they looked at the Zero4 like it was alien technology from the future.

I will do just about anything to fix this as is because sending it back to the ebay store where I bought it means about a month of hassle.

THANKS SO MUCH!

i presume you installed all the drivers on the discs provided.
u could maybe try uninstalling them and reinstalling them
also u can do a factory reset on the mixer by holding the CUE SPLIT & GATE PLAY buttons whilst turning on the power.
it says in the manual the E??? message is some sort of malfunction.
korg should know what this means for god sake.
try posting your questions on prodjforums.com
they've solved my issues in the past.

Eh, I've decided to just send it back to the vendor and try again. I hate this waiting!

Maybe it was too good to be true but Korg read my mind when it came to the concept for the Zero line. On paper it is exactly what I need...such a shame.
