Triton le external sequencer question?

Hi all,

I have a triton le and I am using sonar 7 producer on my laptop. If you read my last few posts I was having trouble connecting the two. Figured that out with forum help. (thanks again), The question I have now is that im recording in the seq mode using omni, I only see 8 tracks? Should I set up the tracks on the 16 midi channels and would that then give me 16 channels to record on? I know this must be a simple question for some but ive been reading the manuals and sonar 7 power and I dont see it anywhere.
