Radias 9 pin mini din

Post by slammah2012 »

I am amazed at how long it is taking to order a replacement 9 pin mini din cable for the Radias.
Over 3 weeks now and still no word.....
I was told once you could order 6 foot versions from an external rack to the Radias KYBD.......
Once it is up and running again I will show pics with my Radias KYBD with my new Use Audio "Plugiator" recessed in the customised accesory tray...it is an exact fit...
now.....what to do with 2 vocoders in one board...

I've been thinking of the Plugiator since it was first announced - how do you like it???? Did you order the din cable from Korg directly or through a store. When my lcd lens cover fell off and I thought it was lost I called Korg Canada and they would have sent a new one out soon as they got my MC (glad I found the original as Korg wanted $25 for that little piece of clear plastic).

It was through the store...which is usually speedy...

The Plugiator is great sounding..Set it the presets with the Computer and go....a couple of bugs on the Prodyssey they are aware of and going to get fixed in the next PIL ... a couple of new plugs just around the corner too........I got the bundle with all slots loaded...Drums and bass is out the door IMO... maybe I will double upon the MiniMoo*....ahem.."Minimax".
One thing I am trying to change though, is how Use Audio is utilizing CCs and PolyAT channels...I am a PolyAT user and there is no user option to matrix out control channels on the plugiator...I also use the creamware ASB stuff, and to my dismay, learned the CCs from the Creamware ASBs and Noah control surfaces, do not match the GUI of the Use Audio plugs, eventhough the software GUIs are exactly the same being both SonicCore and Use Audio were all part of the developing team before Creamware split apart....

but Bach to my Aftertouch ramblings...The Plugs have more than 127 channels of control between software and hardware in most cases.
So in the use of excess... they chose to use the Aftertouch channels designed for Polyphonic aftertouch.....
The sad thing is, their plugins between their GUI and Hardware are written with most of the "add on FX" on polyAT channels within the standard 5 octave range.... (Aftertouch #36 to Aftertouch #96)....I am trying to explain in a polite way that there are 21 channels below low A on an 88 note keyboard (Aftertouch 0 to Aftertouch 20), and 29 above high C (Aftertouch 109 to Aftertouch 127)....
The first reply was I turn off my PolyAT ...which was their first mistake....
that is not an option for their oversight....
So now I am educating them in daily emails and showing them how to change it all to work.....
