R3 Tap Tempo?

Post by Irvine33 »

Is it possible to do a tap tempo for the R3? Either through a pedal or through MIDI, i run it through an Akai XR20 but i'm not sure it will send out a MIDI clock to sync up with the R3. Anyone know any ways to get a tap tempo for the R3?

You could try one of these:

I've never used one, so I don't know how well it works, but the description makes sense, so it should do what you need.

I simply cannot believe there is no tap tempo function on the R3. Its one of the biggest problems that I have with an otherwise great and cost effective board. Come on Korg, it couldn't be that much of an addition to make..

I'm also interested in an easy way to add tap tempo. $175 for a 34one isn't what I would call easy. I'm just waiting until I get another piece of gear with a midi clock that has tap tempo.
