R3 Editor 'Device Inquiry Error'

I'm using a Mac G4 OS 10.4. I've downloaded and installed both the Korg Driver and R3 Editor software. I've made sure I turned on the R3 after the program is opened. I've made sure Protect is Off and Midi Sysex is enabled. I've tried every iteration of Editor's 'Options' dialogue box. The result is always, 'Device Inquiry Error'. This was working for me two weeks ago but now I getting no communication. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

you need to turn on the R3 before the program is opened.

once you have plugged in and turned on then the OS detects the device, loads the driver (which is now running really almost as a program).

When you start the editor it looks to see that the R3 is plugged in (by looking to see if the driver is loaded and running).

If it can't find it then it can't talk to the 'device'

@ X-Trade, that may very well have been the problem but at the same time i think my midi routing was set to MIDI and not MIDI+USB. thank you for your reply.
