KP3 Vocoder pitch control via midi
Hey, I'm kinda a noob when it comes to using midi, but in short, I would like to control the x-axis of the KP3 using midi signals coming from my keyboard. I have tried a couple different setups, but it doesn't seem that the x-axis (which is the pitch on the vocoder patches) can be controlled like this. Essentially it would allow me to turn the KP3 into vocoder similar to that of the Micro-Korg where I can using the vocoder as a harmony part to my vocals. However, right now, the touch pad just doesn't cut it to match pitch well enough for live performance. If anybody has done this, please let me know how.
just a quick thought, but you would probably want some software to convert the MIDI Note ON command to a CC# message, keeping the note number as the cc value.
there might also be hardware to do this...
no more information yet, I may look into this if I get time

Midi-shape-shifter vst plugin will do the job:

It's what the Mod said above, you'll need: MIDI Note to CC software/converter.

Principle is easy, assign and convert the Midi note key 0-127 to CC value 0-127.KP3 manual page 21
Messages transmitted and received
With the factory settings (except for EXT CTRL*), the KP3 can transmit and receive the following
MIDI messages.
Data transmitted/received MIDI message transmitted/received (Factory setting)
Touch pad X-axis Control change (CC#12)
Touch pad Y-axis Control change (CC#13)
