Discussion relating to all other KORG synth related products that don’t have a dedicated section. For example, OASYS PCI, M1, N Series, 01W series, T series, and more…
Hello All,
I just purchased a Korg Z3 synth and ZD3 pickup/Midi Converter/Driver, for guitar, used on ebay. The user supplied the manual and the manual is downloadable from http://www.joness.com/gr300/korgz3.htm
The issue is that the manual makes reference to an insert that explains how to install the ZD3 and adjust the settings.
I searched this forum for 'Z3' and came up with zero hits.
And I was unable to find any information on the Korg site either.
At the time, Korg was owned by Yamaha, but I searched using there manual browser and again came up empty ...
If anyone knows where I can get a copy, please let me know.
I'm willing to pay a reasonable price for a photocopy or digital print.
Thanks,
Mike Loutris
Korg USA says they do not currently have the ZD3 insert, and that Korg support in the U.K. does not either (though curiously, they have an online brochure for it). While they were nice enough to say they'll try to find it, I'm still hoping there's a user out there that has it.
Please let me know, I'm very interested!
It comes with the ZD3 and everything else... CHEAP

Korg Z3 Guitar Synthesizer
This basically uses a magnetic pickup attached to your guitar to generate a digital midi signal which then drives the legendary Yamaha DX-7 FM Synth Module. This sounds pretty cool, especially when run through some distortion. The condition is mint and it works great. Everything works and I have all the original manuals and mounting kit and everything you need. If you think the price is to high, talk to me - I am flexible. I like this thing, and those FM sounds are coming back as we roll through the 90s in the great cycles again. Specs can be found through the following link:
Yamaha FM Synthesis Technology Combined With A Roland-Compatible Guitar Synthesizer, Sold By Korg!
This thing is pretty cool, and had 128 sound already on board, but with midi compatibility, you can do some really cool stuff with this thing - pads, drums, any synth sound is at your guitar finger tips!
