cant figure it out
Can someone explain how to slice a sample on the kp3? The manual doesn't make sense to me. Is there a simple way someone can explain this to me? Thank you in advance for any assistance!
First off you'll need a sample with some variety in it. (Using a drum loop may not be the best to slice).
Once the loop is recorded Hold the (Shift) button and press the sample key. 1-8 should now be lit. As the loop plays press 2-8 to turn them off. you'll now only hear the audio from the loop section in number 1. At least one portion of the slice has to be active all the time (Can't turn them all off.)
Mix and match what 1-8 sections are on and off to create new loops. Once you have a new loops you like you can press shift again to resume normal operation and the new loop will continue to play. You can now re-sample it into another button or press shift + the sample buttons again to change the loop again.
Hope this helps.

Its not the equipment that matters, its the person using it.
