nano Kontrol unresponsive with recording software

Post by grjstudio »

I bought the nano series, both the Pad and Keys work fine, but the Kontrol is completely unresponsive. I downloaded the Korg USB-midi driver and Korg Kontrol Editor. This didn't help at all and I've tried it with four different DAWs. I called Korg tech support and they were not at all helpful. I don't have any idea how to set up individual midi codes for this thing. It seems a lot of buyers are having the same problem and Korg won't help their customers use the product. I've spent over 20 hours trying t make this thing work and can't devote any more time to it. Does anyone have a solution for this piece of junk before I return it?

What recording software are you using? I never could get mine to work with Fruity loops 7...finally upgraded to 8 and with the download template from the Korg downloads section works great.
There are also templates for cubase and a few other programs, the cubase one works great as well.
Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit
AMD 2.4 GHz X4
4 GB RAM
Korg nanoKONTROL/PAD/KEY
Firestudio Project
Cubase LE 4
Fruity Loops XXL
