padKONTROLL knobs and pedal troubles

just picked up my padKONTROLL and cant get ableton live 8 to accept the signals from the pedal and knobs, Im trying to get the knobs to controll master volume and pan, with the pedal controlling a looper.

find out which CC's are used.

To assign a knob you can:
press setting
press note/cc
press knob 1 assign
turn the dial to change the cc

alternatively:
with "setting" off (or in the normal performance mode):
press and hold a knob assign
tap the pad labeled <main>
release the knob assign

you can do the same for pan
