Im using KP3 as master clock source for a MIDI chain including Boss Slicer Electrix MoFX linking to other musicians with MIDI capable peripherals as well as Ableton. I use the KP3 as master because I'm using it to sample, loop and effect my drum kit.
If I loop something, then loop something on top of it, within 2 minutes or less sometimes, the two loops are out of sync. This is a beat demolisher for my group, I keep having to delete the loop and re-record it. Meanwhile the out of time loop has phased with the band and everyone is giving me dirty looks. Pain in the @$$! Anyone experience this, too?
I'm desperate, even looking into the EH 2880.

OH YEAH
It slips more often and more severely when tempo is fluctuated but eventually will slip within the same BPM given enough time.
Why should I have to resample when I change the clock - even early software like FL studio 3.0 can do that math and stay in sync with my outboard gear--to the tiniest fragment of quantization. Besides, the music I'm playing requires frequent tap tempo changes and I don't have the time to worry about resampling.
Still considering a looping device (hardware)
It seems like a very obvious bug, the MIDI clock loses a micro second every time a sample is retriggered. Why offer tempo tap if it doesn't stay synced? B*U*G*

If you are trying to use ableton midi sync output good luck. I was hoping they would fix it in ableton 8 but they did not.
It starts out fine but then it loses time when a lot of MIDI is being sent, or editing sofsynths, loading samples etc.
this is the only thing keeping me using cubase instead of ableton.
