PA800 STYLE DB with Audio MP3 Samples

Post by TBLECK »

Hello @ All,

i know its problematic to publish a link to a "german" site. 8-[
More unusual evenmore seems to be, that in a PDF-document
reside links to AUDIO-MP3-Samples of the PA800...

but for me it was the easiest way to publish - i have only a html/css SELFMADE-Homepage
(no tricks with php asp and so on) !!!

SO: her is my DIRECT - document-Link. =D>

http://www.tbleck.de/pdf/YK-Style-DB-PA800__MP3s.pdf

You have to open this with ADOBE READER. With Version 5 it doesnt work!
With Version 8 and 9 or 9.1 the external internet-links on the right side of the Excel-Sheet WILL WORK !
Be also SURE, that your FIREWALL on PC/MAC will ALLOW external links... !

If you know somebody who is vacant about buying a PA500xyz / PA800 / PA2XPRO
... just send him the above link.
All PDF-documents are LESS THAN 200 KB !!
(The complete Original Excel Sheet is about 1.8 MB).

The recording and making all the PDF's took a long time.
The whole action was previously agreed with Mr.Nice'n Easy - Keith Ball.

Maybe you check the other links:

And this would be the RAW TRANSLATION of the german source-page:

http://translate.google.de/translate?u= ... e&ie=UTF-8

Hi folks, i will as soon as possible translate the whole page into english.
I think the english korg-forum is a very "responding" forum.

Thanks for the warmful entries in my guestbook ! :soundsgood

best wishes from TBLECK

Hi Thomas. Thanks for all the time and hard work that you have done in preparing your mp3 Demo's and all the Tranlations into English to Help so many more people. I for one was honoured to help a little in this endeavour purely with the Translations.... The English pages are now all looking very good and are so informative and helpful.

Thank you Thomas for everything that you have brought to our Korg Forum. It is very, very much appreciated......

:D

Hi TBLECK.
I think what your doing is fantastic, but a PDF file and external links to Mp3 files that all need to be downloaded one by one each time you want to listen to a style is not exactly ideal. With so many external links and where you have them stored, I can also see all your hard work eventually breaking at some point.

If you are interested, I can write a program for you to manage everything. When it comes to sharing your work with everyone, all they would need to download is a single file and they would have full off line access to everything.

I could also make the entire system searchable and at the click of a button people could organise the content anyway they wanted.

To do something like this would only take minor modifications to a File Management system I wrote for a company I used to work for. I could have this working in hours only.

Let me know if your interested.

Regards.
Sharp.

Hi James. I know a little about the reason behind Thomas's links to BoxNet. He does not have the Bandwidth to Host this mp3 project on his own Website and so the project couldn't move forward. I suggested that he used BoxNet to house the files and in this way he has done a lot more work on the styles than he could ever have done or even started. The files don't need to be downloaded as they can be played online. I have used BoxNet for quite some time and have experienced very few problems and Thomas also has 1 Gig of Free space at his Disposal.....

Hope that explains the reason behind the File Storage.

:)

Of course what we really need is a communal Wiki site and suitable hosting, just like the wiki at Karma labs but for the Pa series

Hello @ ALL,

thanks for your compliments. :D
Yes - indeed - it took a lot of time to
look on the PA800 and write it all down in EXCEL ... published in PDF.
I really underestimated the work and time it took and the hours in
publishing and recording ... ! :?

My homepage is limited to 200 MB; and 194 MB are already uploaded.
My traffic is 10 GB / a month and even thru my hosted mp3-improvisations
and german workshop there is still enough "back-up".
So Keith gave the tip, where to host about 1 GB for free...
... Box.net is for me ok - so thank you SHARP and thank you MickB -
i feel happy with this "quick-Solution"... used up to now about 300 MB of 1 GB !

Why do PA2X or PA800 Users want to have MY AUDIO-EXAMPLE of perhaps "Kool_Beat" ??? :?:
Keyboard-SWITCHERS or ASCENDERS should listen to this OR? :!:
... We all know the sounds and styles ... i played them, as declared,
in Standard (Drum-kist, PERC, ACC-tracks, kic&Snare-Designation... ).
So spread the above links to your local music-dealer/demonstrator...
...often they are not very firm to the keyboards and so a potentially customer has the chance besides
OPEN-HOURS to sit back at home and check the STYLE-quality !!!
(If you think - i forgot a really good Style then let me know) !

If you have a download-Program "Webcopier / Getleft" etc.
should be able to download all the MP3's at once in a "one-click" run.

AND THE BEST: SINCE THIS WEEKEND MY HOMEPAGE IS COMPLETELY TRANSLATED TO ENGLISH.
So i think you can absorb my incitement/inducement and feel,
that i'm still inspired by my "maschine/Pa800" ... and this even after more than 2 years.

Besides: on my device there is no failure of anything- not even an LED.
AND I WORK VERY OFTEN A WEEK AND SPEND OFTEN HOURS WITH MY PA800 !
So may be LED-failures on PA2XPRO (also discussed in German forum),
is linked only to the "BLUE-TYPE" ?

Best wishes from
TBLECK
