KORG DT-4 Question

I just got a DT-4 tuner and what am I supose to do with those Grip Strips that come with it The OWNER'S MANUAL doesn't say what to do with them.

Could they be to hold the tuner to a pedal board???

Or you stick on the edges so you can hold it like this :



... without it slipping out of your hand. The top edge is kinda shiny/slippery
