I'm trying to do a midi record (simultaneously) from a song in my keyboard in seq mode (sequencer 1) and every time I press record in cubase, my tracks in the keyboard change to String..
My global settings : Current Midi Setup : 03 Sequencer 1, Clock source: midi A
Local Control off, Midi : Out mode.
When I choose 01 Default nothing records. And when I choose 03 Sequencer 1 all tracks are recorded into each of the track I arme for recording in Cubase.
I did download my the Korgpa.com, no results.
I know I can just import the midi file but I wanted to solve that other way in case I'm not able to import a midi file.
I thought I was successful but when I tried to do it again, the track sounds keep changing to String as I already said above.
If anyone can help me, i would really appreciate it. Tx

Hi
Woks fine for me here
If you in Cubase make one track, you can record all channels on this track.
Set the track to any channel in the inspector
Set the cubase mid clock destination to your midi out, and set the tempo you like the song
Arm the channel and hit record, the Pa1 sequencer starts, and you record the track in cubase
You can then after the record is finish dissolve the track in separate channels.
If you play back the new recorded track, remember to switch off the clock destination in cubase
If you prefer to record on multi channels in cubase
Make 16 midi channels, each with separate channels.
Open input transformer on each channel in local mode
In drop-down list set channel 1 filter to pass ch 1
Do the same for every channel
And then you can record each channel in cubase
You can do a lot more with korg Pa1 and cubase
I like to record in style play mode, I have written a little bit about it here in the forum.
But unfortunately Korg has change the local off after OS 2, 54
So it won’t work any more
I still don’t know why, maybe they realise what we can do.
Therefore I still prefer to have Os 2.54.on my korg pa1x
Best Regards
Ole
