Hi all,
As an effort to place additional information regarding Step Backing Sequence Record Mode in to the Search Data Base. I have finally discovered a way to make the Step Sequence Section easier.
Program a Midi File normally in BIAB or whatever computer based Midi Notation Program you use.
2) Copy the file to a floppy disk and place it into the Pa1x.
3) Enter the Sequence Section. Press the select button on the transport bar and choose the FD (Floppy Disk).
4) Enter the Step Backing Sequence Section and choose the style you want the song to play in. (located at the top of the screen)
4) Go to the bottom of the screen and select the Intro, Variation and whatever Fills you want, through out the song tap the measures right arrow to move through the song. {/niftybox}
NOTE: DO NOT ENTER CHORDS ON THE CHORD SECTION LINE OF EVENT RECORD WINDOW
Press Done to exit the Step Backing Sequence Section and enter the Sequence Song Play area and presto!! You can mute the tracks you do not want.
Tap or touch the screen at the top right corner and save the file to disk or hard drive.
A song with Pa1x sounds and drum style sequences. This has taken the Pa1x to a hold new level for me.
NOTE: I use the “Band In a Box” program instead of using the Pa1x Step Backing Sequence in order to type chords on a full screen (Computer Monitor). This resolved my dilema I had with Korgs Step Sequence and how entering the chords became such a task. Anyone wanting to Step Record should look into purchasing a copy the “Band In A Box program”. This programs unique technology of placing chords into a real lead sheet format is great.
