Can PadKontrol input 'XOX' steps into software sequencers?

Bascially, I'm wondering if the Padkontrol can act as a XOX hardware controller for a software sequencer. Like an Electribe that can select and deselect steps of a sequence in Logic. Basically wanted to use it with Logic's Piano Roll and Ultrabeat to enter in notes on a sequence grid. Electribes I don't think will do that. You would have to record the notes into Logic after you setup the sequence.
