Zero 8 problems with channels

Post by dionisio »

Hi guys im new here. Just bought a zero 8 the other day and setting it up with my macbook using firewire and having some channel issues.

Today when i went in to assign some midi controls i switched some of the channels accross to midi + audio but they just stay midi......, if i flick up to audio the audio knobs turn blue and the midi orange??? All of the options from phono1 to audio are like this and audio and audio +midi are all blue.

I have no idea whats going on and this happens to channels 5-8.

Ive tried restoring to factory defaults and also turning the device off as well as my macbook. No luck....

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!!

What sample rate are you working at on the ZERO?

Sample rate is 96000 I changed this according to wat I read in ableton but could be wrong? Also some extra info if I set all the channels over to phono1 or pure midi then set to factory defaults when it's NOT plugged into my mac and turn the zero off then back on all the knobs seem to function as normal so it may well be a software setting. If so should I set it to the minimal sample rate? Will try this when I get home thanks monopoly :)

On Page 17 of the Owner's Manual of the ZERO8 it describes the differences between the three sample rate options. Try booting up your ZERO8 at 44.1KkHz (Power + CH 1 Cue button at same time) or 48kHz (Power + CH 2 Cue button at same time) and see if that sorts it out.

Just for reference, Macs are not compatible with 96k mode.
