My two day affair is over!!

Post by jckeeys »

.... Going back to my wife ... err .. I mean my PA2x!!!
I had a Tyros 3 over the weekend ..... it is going back today!! Keeping my PA2x!! :D

I liked the styles and the RH sounds but overall it does not compare to the PA. The Vocalizer and overall Mic quality were average at best! The Vocalizer IMO is very poor for a TOTL arranger especialy at this price point.

Welcome back....

I also liked a lot about the T3 styles, keybed, VH, and RH sounds when I spent a day with one...but, the functions, programmability MIDI etc were not PRO quality and I would not want to live with them.
If it was $1999 maybe.

With all the talent here on the forum...we should be able to get a leas a few of the T3 styles converted and tweeked very nicely for PA.

Some have already been done and I think if specific ones are identified we can get them done. Rikki and Keith have so far, I believe the leaders on this. I plan to learn how to do it also.

One thing I do know...at least withthe PA2...the tools are there to do the detailed creation I want long term.

Hi John,

Good to hear! I havn't had a chance to demo a T3 yet, but I suspect that I too shall remain in the Korg camp. Since we chatted on this subject via email, I think there have been a couple of guys move from T3 to Korg.

The learnig curve has been somewhat difficult for me on my PA2X but I am making progress. Music finder is one thing I really miss from Yamaha. if I could duplicate this on my PA2X I would be happy!

JC ah ha, that sounds like my story. I know we talked Pa2xPro and Tyros3, I was close to buying one and like you I had it a weekend. Great keyboard, but can't beat the Pa2xPro. Korg has got lots going for it, above all for me Songbook is a dream to use live. When I'm playing late at night listening thru my headphones, and I hear one of the cymbals ending a style I sometimes think a drummers in the room with me
