Well, here's the thing: Korg has converted Microkorg sounds for the MKXL but concerning their different machines, how accurate can MKXL produce original Micro sounds?
p.s. I like the look of MKXL, probably the keys are also better and the 8-note poly....but the demo of microkorg sounds on synthmania.com just blow me away!! I'm afraid the Micro's keys are very fragile and non comfortable for playing these wonderful sounds...what do you think?
Micro inside MicroXL?

lol....its weird how everybody seriously thinks that just because it has a "better synth engine" the R3 or the MicroX will sound better, surely thats down to personal taste? I own both a MicroKorg and a MicroX (as well as a Virus and I have owned a Juno60, Korg Poly61, Korg MS10, Yamaha CS01 and a few others) and guess what? I prefer the MicroKorg out of all of them...I use it 80% of the time...dunno why, I just like it better

progg I use my Axiom to control it...the keys are way too small for my clumsy fingers but other than that its a goodie. Robust wise its way better than the MicroX (dunno about the R3, never played on one but I have a feeling they are pretty similar)...and from what I have read about the MicroXL its the same story. When Korg make cheap, they make cheap

iMac 2.66 OS X 10.5.6, Digi003, Protools LE8, Live 6, KLC, KLC DE, Korg MicroX, Virus Rack, Juno 60, Yamaha CS01, Korg MS10, Korg Poly61.
Well, I tried R3 twice. No doubt its engine is more powerful but somehow R3 failed to catch me. Same synthesis in MKXL, which brings some thoughts.
Mates, I were asking if any of you have compared the original microkorg sounds with their replicas converted for Radias/R3/MKXL. Having in mind different synth engines...I just want to know how good has MMT achieved microkorg feeling and sound. Is it worth getting MKXL ( i just like its interface more than original micro plus new keys and improved poly...) hoping it comes close to microkorg besides other goodies of course?
Thanks!
