Hi, new poster here.
Cheers for checking this out guys.
My band use electronics live in the form of the EA-1 and my drummer would prefer not to trust the monitors and his general sense of timing and use a metronome synchronized with the synth in headphones.
Of course there's a metronome on the Korg but it plays out loud and we need a metronome lined out to just my drummer through headphones so everytime i wack play he'll be playing on a click.
Anyone have any ideas or a certain setup to use for this?
Thanks,
Jak
How to use a metronome live with EA-1 MK-2?

Ive not played with this machine but on my esx I make use of PAN to stick one constant beat that it easily heard.. into the right channel
then pan all other sounds to the left channel
obv this limits you to mono , but for a gig i doubt anyone would notice the stereo spread of one paticular sound over another.

If you're not already using both output 3 and 4, you could send that constant beat part to output 3 or 4, keeping it out of the main mix.phillwilson wrote:Ive not played with this machine but on my esx I make use of PAN to stick one constant beat that it easily heard.. into the right channel

The main mix could stay stereo, at that point.

Hi all,
Oobs as you quite correctly point out I could output to 3/4 and keep stereo if needed on the ESX
I was mixing my gear up , although I wrote EMX I was thinking of the ER1 as this is closer to the EA that the OP was asking about.
thinking about it more, I dont think you can "pan" the metronome in the ER (so probably not in the EA either) which kinda Moots my point sadly... you could create a click with one of the EA parts and pan that but I think you only have 2 parts to use so I guess you might not like that option unless you use it as a mono sequencer.
