FMJSoft Awave Studio to convert.....

Post by MuZicMaKEn »

Has anyone used this to convert other formats to use with their Tritons?

I'm thinking about buying it, I think I read I could possibly convert vsti sounds from say like Dimension Pro or other programs or even other synths to the specific file format to import into the Triton (Le)..

Am I correct?

Thanks for your help,

Ken

you can't just convert a VSTi. a VST is an executable program - a synthesizer or effect processor. if it uses samples you could find the samples it uses and convert them.
or you can get a program like Extreme Sample Converter (ESC) which can load a VSTi (or you can connect MIDI Out and Audio In), and automatically multisample your vsti or external instrument.

I have used the Awave program in the past (only the demo) to convert soundfont files to korg format, as well as having put together my own multisample of my bass guitar, and a solina string ensemble sample set from a magazine cover DVD.
