Problem connecting my MK

So, I went out today and bought a m-audio midi converter, and the midi in and out cables. Everything is all hooked up fine, and my macbook recognizes the midi converter under audio midi preferences.....

BUT for some reason my MK isn't sending a signal to the converter...

any suggestions?

Having similar problem connecting my microkorg to my PC via a hosa technology midi to usb interface. Any ideas or tips?

What are you trying to do with the Midi connections ? Are you connecting to your sequencer, another keyboard or the software editor ? Read pages 49 - 62 of the manual to see if you have the connections and settings right.

most USB MIDI interfaces have their ports labeled in regard to the PC, so the MIDI IN on the interface is the MIDI IN of the computer, so should be connected to the OUT of the MK.
Some people try to connect IN to IN and OUT to OUT, thinking the interface is labelled for directly connecting to one piece of gear, which is wrong.

As far as the MK goes, there isn't much to go wrong - it always transmits MIDI out, so there is nothing to change on it. the only possibly problems are in the computer software, drivers, interface, or your cabling.
