Hello,
I am an amateur musician from the USA with some time on my hands. Realistically, the last Korg I owned was a DSS-1, and I bought it new. There was a bit of electronic gear but my primary instrument was piano.
With some time off work (common here in MI) I decided to explore music a bit more and started using various software synths and other things. I am amazed at their capability, because I hadn't owned a synth of any sort since the 80s. I was a piano teacher back then at a local music store and I was typically aware of new gear, but I have a 20 year gap. I think the last exciting synth I saw come out was the Juno 1 and 2.
The capabilities of the new gear are almost beyond my comprehension. I have recently purchased a RADIAS and came to join the board as I learn the instrument and attempt to integrate some of it's uniqueness into my electronic compositions. I also purchased a MicroKORG because of it's portability and fun factor. Perhaps it's simplicity for me will act as sort of a gateway to the more complex RADIAS.
I am using a Novation 49SL MkII for most of my computer input and a NIO 2/4 for audio in (usually a bass guitar, I'm not much of a singer).
Really looking forward to just putzing around with the instrument and contributing some information/patches as I become familiar.
Greetings from Detroit, MI
