How to specialize in audio?

Hello everyone,

I'm studding electronics (industrial engineer) in Brussels. I'm wondering if is it possible, with my studies, to work or to specialize myself in the audio domain? Unfortunately I don't have a musician background (for now). I had a good "signal processing" lesson with Marc Archeroy last year, and it really made me want to applied it to music. I know that a lot of people here have a good knowledge about music device, so I ask them: I have one year left before going into a internship of 5 month for my memoir, what should I learn to make this internship in a audio company like Korg?
