key problem, very urgent please

Post by lefwan »

Hi Guys,
Yesterday I was recording a new style, and suddenly a key (D2) stopped working, it was working fine 2 seconds before. and my keybord is well maintained.
I am personnaly suspecting a software problem that created this Key bloqued.
I tried to transpose, the split point, but no chance, it is always the same key which do not respond.

I am using 3.05 OS, do you beleive that an upgrade may solve the problem ?
or any other ideas ?
Thank u in idvance guys
this is extremly urgent.

Thanx Choros I will try,
but by the time I loaded 3.06 OS
I hope the keyboard will accept to load 3.05 OS again.

Thanx

Hi
I just made the test
this is not working.
I uploaded 3.05 again, but still have that D2 not working.
I openned the keyboard and checked all the wiring , the connection and the contact, but everythig looks good.
I still beleive that it is a software problem.
I need now a solution to reach the processor and reset it.

Any idea will be welcome

Thanx guys

Hi
I had a similar problem and had to open up the keyboard and get access to the contacts under the defective key by undoing screws that hold the PC board under that area of the defective key and clean the contact area with either canned air or cotton swab. Looks like you've tried the software approach and that didn't solve the problem so maybe it's the contact under that specific key.

Good luck

Dale
