I am having a bit of an issue, i think i MAY have solved it, but any other threads or info would be appreciated.
basically, i reinstalled win7 x64 recently due to an old hard drive crash. Its quick to do, and no biggie.
I use reaper software, which is basically portable, so I store it on a different drive. When i tried reaper again, basically the nanopad would intermittently shut on and off. I thought it was due to a recent reaper update. So i rolled back to when it was working, and it still did it.
The nanopad had always worked fine connected to a powered USB hub. However i do realize this can cause problems so i hooked it direct.
It still happened.
So, i thought the nanopad was broken. I had heard many many QC criticisms of the nano-series, but always thought mine was exempt, as it worked so well for the time i've had it. So it disheartened me.
however, i never had the proper korg driver installed. Which im not used to. My M-audio and Evolution controllers don't need special drivers.... however i may have installed the nanopad driver on my last install and obviously lost it when i did a fresh install of win7.
so, my question is, do other people have problems with the standard windows drivers? This would confirm my issue, and make me rest easy that the problem is not the actual controller, but me forgetting to install the driver (which is no problem and i dont criticize the product for having its own driver, its quite standard actually

anyway, i totally love this controller and i hope it lasts a long time. Any other thoughts/threads would be appreciated. I did a search for a couple of things but only came up with a driver installation error, which i did not have.
thanks!
