Post by thuggy186 »

Hi,

I just downloaded artist program, preset from microkorg, ms2000 and etc.

is these programs are only for sound editor software? or is it able to use these programs install in the actual hardware?

it's little confusing for me.

sound editor is kinda complicated to use for me.

it's frustrating...:(

Yep, you can install the sounds into your R3/Radias.

First, hook your R3/Radias up to your computer. Open a patch on your R3/Radias that you're fine getting rid of.

Now, transfer the patch from your computer to your R3/Radias as you would do normally.

Next, press shift and 8. Turn the page dial so that the screen shows off, then press 8 again.

Finally, press the write button.

And you're done! Now every time you open that patch space on your R3/Radias, it will show the one you downloaded from your computer instead of the default one. Don't worry though, you can always restore your old one, its in the manual.

ah...but this is like my first time doin this kinda things..so i need to make things clear for me..:)

---------------------------------

First, hook your R3/Radias up to your computer.
**(ok.. i did it with my usb)

Open a patch on your R3/Radias that you're fine getting rid of.
**(do i need to get rid of the preset if i'm importing the new ones? can't just add new stuffs?)

Now, transfer the patch from your computer to your R3/Radias as you would do normally.
**(i kinda don't understand this part.. i don't have an experience with tranferring patches..)

Next, press shift and 8. Turn the page dial so that the screen shows off, then press 8 again.
**(this part doesn't seem hard as before steps..so..)

Finally, press the write button.
**(please take me to this level...lol)

l, that works

Yes, you sadly must overwrite a preset.
Now, transfer the patch from your computer to your R3/Radias as you would do normally.

All right, so you have the sound editor open, right?
Make sure that you plugged your R3 into the computer before you opened it. Now, go to preferences. Make sure Midi in is R3-KBD/Knob, Midi out is R3-Sound, and Knob Mode is linear. Now, open up your MS2000/MK library. Click on a patch. It should open on your R3.
Next, press shift and 8. Turn the page dial so that the screen shows off, then press 8 again.
**(this part doesn't seem hard as before steps..so..)

Finally, press the write button.

yea, pretty simple. just pressing buttons and turning knobs lol. you press shift and 8 at the same time, then turn the page select knob so that the screen above it shows off, and press 8 again when your done. Finally, you just press write and the patch will write.

it..is....not...working...

Post by thuggy186 »

am i too dumb for overwriting the sound..?
lol

ok..
oh by the way i use radias not r3, and it's connected to mac pro.

"All right, so you have the sound editor open, right?

in this part
Midi in, there is no radias-KBD knob and no Radias sound for midi out.
so..it's connected in m-audio midi sport..so i put midi sport for midi in and midi out.

and..

"Next, press shift and 8. Turn the page dial so that the screen shows off, then press 8 again. "

i open up the sound editor program screen by double clicking the patch(micro korg, and ms2000).
but when i press shift and 8, it doesn't do anything..

please help me one more time..

this is killing me.

thank u soooooooooooooooooo much!!!

Sorry, those instructions only work for R3 and MicroKorg.

Can you get your radias to play the sounds on the editor at all? or not?

Anyways, instead of shift+8, look at page 115 in the manual:
http://www.korg.com/uploads/Support/RAD ... 840000.pdf

I don't understand it as I don't have a radias, but you might. All the shift+8 was doing was turning off write protect.

Still curious though, is your problem permanently writing patches to the Radias, or just playing them in the first place?

But what's your problem?

Playing patches from the computer,

or

saving patches from the computer on your Radias?
