I searched the posts, and cannot find an answer to this one....
Is it possible to play radias patches on the r3, Or is there a way to convert them ?
I see many posts about converting the other way ( r3 to radias ) but not the other way around
Thanks
Nick

Hi nickr,
the only way to get Radias patches to the R3 and viceversa is to transcribe them. This means: You can also install the sound editor for the other synth (in your case of the Radias), then open both in parallel, load the Radias patches and "transcribe" the parameter settings to the R3 editor. Since the R3 sound editor shows the numerical values on each control (pots) the Radias sound editor shows them only when you set the cursor over them. It takes about 5 to 10 min. to transcribe one patch once you got accostumed to both editors
Of course both synths have some differences but the sound engines are very similar. Radias patches using the additional features the R3 doesn't have will not give the same sound. Also there seems to be a difference in the PCM/DWGS samples
Just yesterday I created a patch for tpantano using my Radias and then transcribing it to the R3 editor so he could load it on hie R3. You can look at this thread to hear the results: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=51123
