Librarian Editor on OS 10.5.8

I've been having some trouble with the 2.0 Radias editor on Apple Mac OSX.5.8

Before I was managing my patches on the PC so it wasn't a problem, however I've noticed on my mac that whenever I change the preferences, upon reopening the program I will find them back at defaults! Obviously this is kind of annoying because I have to set the MIDI ports every time. But its certainly not a MIDI Port problem because other options get reset too.

For example, on changing the theme you get told it will take effect after restarting the application.... Nope!

Has anyone else experienced this?
I've only had my mac for a year and generally no problems. If this were on a PC then I would probably know what kind of things to look at but in this case I feel a bit lost.
