so I read the manual and have searched some online and still no clear answer to using the R3 for its effects via the audio line in.
I can get the signal via vocorder and mangle away that way when I press a key, but that means I have the sound of that key too. is it possible to just work with and effect the incoming signal?
thanks in advance for any/all help!

Yes,
you have to select the audio input for oscillator1, ant osc2 as well as noise off if I remember well (Radias here). Then set that timbre to mono (otherwise pressing more keys will increase the volume), the arpeggio to gated with all steps completly open and Latch to on so once you press a key the timbre stays played.

thank you
axxim....
thanks much. sure enough that works!
and it is in the manual, for R3 pg 27 in the section discussion Osc 1.
oddly the index doesn't cross-reference Audio In there. (isn't it curious that as Korg manuals have grown much more readable and direct, the indexing has gotten worse!)
thanks again!
