For Radias and R3 users, post what you believe are the top 3 sounds you've made! Let's get a collection going of great sounds. Try to include a variety in your 3, not everything the same. Maybe add a description too if you will
1. 'Recorder' - it may not actually be a recorder, but it's a very recorder/flute/saxophone like kinda sound, great as a lead instrument or for a pad - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1715217/recorder.r3p
Well, its difficult to judge 'favourites', however these are mine: Nice EP V2
This is a mildly overdriven Electric Piano sound. I modelled it on the EP that can be heard throughout Pink Floyd's 'Animals' album. Very playable, very expressive, you can get a range of tones basically 'playing' the distortion effect with velocity, but it is massively compressed so even soft notes whilst sounding soft can still be heard clearly. The drive is just enough to make notes interact even on the lightest touch.
This patch makes use of my 'Unison Detune Plucked String Model' technique, passing into the Pickup waveshaper.
OASYS Pad
This was inspired by the release of the MOD7 on the OASYS. Just thinking about all that non-VA power... Basically I just threw in everything that wasn't in your typical VA: VPM, a bit of Ring Mod, Waveshaping, etc. There is also a nice arp/gated ringmod effect taking input from the rest of the pad when you turn the arp on. I used this at the start of my second most recent recording (available on my website) 'Ambiart'.
Dream Lead
This was a patch I programmed more or less as soon as I got the Radias, over two years ago. It was ported from my MicroKorg, being my favourite lead. Very few improvements, although the top end has been enhanced a lot to match a recording rather than the patch; The original on the MicroKorg was used on a track currently available on my website, called 'Paradise Reprise'.
48OSC Lead
As a bonus (not one of my favourite patches), I made this patch kind of out of curiosity. I hardly ever use it except to blow people away.
...Literally, out of the room!
It is designed to use the full oscillator power of the Radias to create 'the most awesome lead'. It has all four timbres on full unison using both oscillators (no hardwire unison on OSC1, it kinda ruins the power of it)
Furthermore the bend actually seperates the timbres out into a major seventh, and I set MIDI2 (default -Y Joystick direction on a KORG Workstation) to change to a minor seventh by further detuning two of the timbres.
I noticed that when I play this, the lights dim on the Radias panel, and the arpeggiator can't keep in sync.
