Joystick in Combi Mode
Hi All,
I created a Combi Split of Piano and Organ. In the organ program itself, the joystick controls the speaker rotation speed (press up starts rotation...up again slows back to nothing). When I add this organ to a combi, the joystick does nothing. How do I get this option back for the organ in Combi Mode.
Thanks

Go into the IFX and MFX areas of your combi and pull up the utility menu, where you'll see choices to copy effects from a program.

It is the same within a combi as it is in a program.richierich wrote:Thanks.
I guess I'm not sure how to copy that into a combi. I know how to edit a programs effects but have never done it within a combi for a single program. Hopefully its in a manual someplace.
When you are editing effects, you are actually looking at all of the workstation's processing power.
Loading a program into a combi does nothing with effects or arpeggiator assignment, as there are less effects slots and arpeggiators than there can be programs in a combi. You have to completely redo the effects in an efficient manner to get the best sound for all of your programs - it can be quite a squeeze, but then this is why this is the Triton Light Edition. The other triton keyboards (and the new M50 and M3) have 5IFX each, whereas you have only one here. So for example if you want a piano with 7band EQ, organ with rotary, strings with chorus, and guitar with phaser.... well, it can't be done! you have to make compromises.
It is also a great opportunity to specifically make effects that suit your combi or song better - the example I always use is you might have a guitar with flange in program mode, but your song or combi might work better with a phaser or even a rhythmic delay.

Thanks.
I guess that makes sense.
But my combi is only a piano/organ with minimum effects. I will play around with it some more. I guess I just figured when a program is brought into a combi, it would retain the settings of the program as a base point then can be altered to suit the combi.
On a side note, I don't find any option to copy program effects to combi.
I've gone through every menu option. What am I doing wrong or missing.
Thanks
Rich

Go into the mfx page of the combi and press utility and choose copy effect. It will then give you a choice of what Program you want to copy the effect from. That will at least get the effect where you want it. whether it's routed correctly is a different matter, as I'm understanding it.
