OCTAVE CHANGE FOR ANY ACC INSTRUMENT

Post by Doni »

I'M FINALLY "GETTING THE HANG" OF THIS PA1X EDITING/WRITING, ETC...
BUT I CAN'T FIND IF AND HOW TO CHANGE AN OCTAVE ON ANY INSTRUMENT SELECTED THAT IS USED IN ANY ACC. ANYONE KNOW?

I STILL LIKE THE I2 AND I30 MUCH MORE THAN THIS PA1X.

HiDoni,
Not sure if this is the best way but you could try this:
Select the instrument you want to change as the Upper 1 Voice.
Hold down shift and press Sound mode button. Press Menu, Basic, Ocs Basic Tab. Near the botton of the screen you'll see Octave. Increase this by one. (If the sound is already Octave shifted the the maximim then you can use Transpose as an alternative by changing this value by 12). Now on the far Right hand side of the screen look to see how many Ocsillators are being used for this sound. (Usually one or 2). If there is more than 1 then you'll need to do the same for the second oscillator by touching the second dot and changing the Octave up by one again.
Now Use the drop down menu and Write this new (Octave shifted) sound to an empty slot (Write Sound, change its name AND choose where you want to store it (eg User 1 by using Select).
Now go back to your style, swap the insstrument you want changed to the new sound you just made and write the style to a new slot (Style, Record, Record/Edit Current, Drop Down Menu, Write.)
I think this will work.
Best,
