Radias Sound Editor - Selected pgm automatically transmited

Post by YorkshireLad »

Hi

Hope this hasn't been asked before as I couldn't find anything with a search.

I have just upgraded my PC (still on XP though) and I have just re-installed the Korg USB driver and sound Editor.

Now my problem is that whenever I select any program in the editor, it automatically sends that program to the Radias.

Previously selecting a program did nothing. I was free to choose an empty slot in the editor and then receive a program to be edited. Now the second I choose an empty slot, it is instantly sent to the Radias overwriting the program I was about to receive and edit on the PC.

Am I missing something here, some obscure setting perhaps?

Thanks in advance!
Kind Regards,

-Fordy

This is the way it is supposed to work.
It allows you to audition a program without even having to upload it to the synth. The parameters are merely loaded into the play/edit buffer so navigating away from the slot and back again (on the synth) will put you back where you want to be

The way I go about organising patches is starting with a blank library file though and doing a 'receive all'. Then you can drag programs about between libraries and build up a new library to upload back or save to disk.

Hi YorkshireLad,

if you have the button AUTO DUMP on (red lighted) then changing to a programm on the editor will do exactly what it means, Dump the programm to your Radias automatically. If you turn it off, then you can click between programms in the editor without beeing send to the Radias. A double click on a programm will also send it.
The last status of this button is always saved when you exit the editor.

Ahhh I see, must be the Autodump button that is causing the problems :D

Thank you both for taking the time to reply!
