Centering a Microphone

Post by tpantano »

So I just dug out my dads old Mic from the late 70s/80s. And it works.

There's a problem though. Here's how I'm set up:

Mic plugs into mic to 1/4 cable (don't have a regular mic cable)
1/4 plugs into input 1 on fast track pro, set at line
Logic has a track open set to mono record and input 1

So I pick up sound just fine. However, my voice doesn't sound centered on my headset- it sounds like there's two voices, one panned to the left, one to the right.

Ideas?

Is your headset plugged into the FTPro headphone output? Is the Mono/Stereo button at the in position and the A/B button in the out position?
