Nanopad square one problems, not recogized by software

Post by Slaptop »

I installed all the software for the nanopad, including the midi driver, same with the EZ drummer and finally got it to produce sounds. But even though the Nanopad is plugged in, the red light is on, the computers knows it's plugged in but none of the software will recognize it as being there.
I've got an Acer Laptop with XP, the media center/XP Pro version, 1.7 GHz CPU, 2 gigs RAM, new 320 Gig HD and reinstalled everything. I know the nanopad works because I tried it in two other computers, not mine, it was instantly recognized by the OS, W7 64 bit in one XP in another, and their recording programs, without installing any software.. So I'm wondering if my version of XP is the problem, or are there some hidden settings I need to change, or what else could it be. I'm at a loss because even the Korg software won't see the thing as being there. It makes no sense, have never had a problem with anything else I've installed or plugged in. But I am determined to make it work in the laptop because that's what I bought it for, after watching all those see how easy this is to use and fun to play with videos. Does anyone know if there is a video anywhere that deals with installing and making it work?
Any help or suggestions?

I had this, and it was the "more than 10 USB device drivers" thing.
