Quick question
what cables come with the KoPro? I'm wanting to use the one i plan on getting to play a bit at a party i'm hosing when i return home, and what kind of inputs-outputs (jacks signal types etc) are used on it? wondering what i might need to have input from my pc and output to my amp. as i will have all of about 4 hours once i return home from 17 hours of sleepless flights and airport waiting in order to set everything up so going out to buy cables once i get back isnt really an option. (yes i'm a complete noob... deal with it!) =P

ahhhhhh ok well i found most of the info i think i need on the tech specs sheet on the KORG site.. but my PC does not have a sound card with RCA line out.. is it possible to use the mic in instead? AND.. buying my KoPro in Europe.. what kind of plug and voltage will it use? (in South Africa we have 220V AC on 3 prong plugs) i'm wondering what adaptor and or transformer i will need

You should be able to use the speaker output from the computer which probably needs a 3.5mm Mini Plug to RCA type cable.
You probably can't use the mic input from the line-out on the computer without it being clipped.

European mains power is also 220V, but it won't be the same plug type
did you ask if you can use your computer's Mic In as an output?
lots of people don't seem to realise you can get cables with a 3.5mm jack on one end and RCA on the other, which will run from your computer's speaker out to the Kopro's inputs. RCA vs 3.5mm jack vs 1/4" jack is just a connector type, the signal is the same, so just get cables with different connectors at each end, or get adaptors.

thanks for the help. and apologies for sounding like a complete idiot, i did know u can get 3.5mm to RCA but wasnt sure if the signal level coming out the PC would be right. (because RCA out on car headsets runs at a lower level that usual as far as i know and plugging speaker leverl audio into RCA is a big nono) looks like i'll need to get all the necessary cables here.. oh and i heard today that a friend of a friend is selling his EMX-1 YAY! (thats what i originally wanted to start with but always planned getting both a Kaoss pad and an EMX ) =)

PS: i'm completely new to the hardware side of things so all the cabling and ins and out (excuse the pun =P) are foreign to me. I can see there is a ton of valuable information to be found on this forum and i'm sure i will be reading thru and experimenting with alot of it once i get my own EMX and hopefully also a KP3 ... and a KoPro.. and.. and.. and lol. but i want to first wrap my head around the basics and experimenting on my own.. cos sometimes u discover unique sounds(or atleast unique to yourself) then i will start going thru the tips and tricks here and if i come across any stumbling block will be sure to seek assistance here. looking forward to starting my journey into hardware music production
