Hey!
I have a question....I´m pretty new to sequencing, but just got to the point where I´ve pretty much learned to make a sequence/song and play it in sequence mode.
My question is, is it possible to assign a sequence/song to a key and trigger it in program/combi mode? And I´m not even quite sure how to do this is sequence mode either...It would just be very nice to trigger sequences without being in sequence mode sometimes.
I read a bit about RPPR playback, but that seems to be something different? Or am I misunderstanding?
Thanks!
Possible to trigger sequences/songs in program/combi mode?

Hi Jacon92
As far as i know you can't use the RPPR function outside of the sequencer, but it's an intresting function explained fairly well here:

However, using KARMA, you can program scenes to the point that they are songs all in themselves. many great choices are available in the combi's in the M3 that you could check out, but basicly you could assign certain elements of your combi to the pads, in the key you would like, and turn karma on with latch, and with the press of a button (pad) haveyour tune. This is hardly a "good" explaination, just an idea... and for truely in depth editting of the Karma function, one would need the KARMA software for the M3. But you can still do quite alot with whats available on the M3, and with the free M3 editor. i use Karma lightly in my music, but it's amazing what it's capable of.
as for the effects (in sequence mode) they are by default turned off under a new song. the IFX section is under page select: P8-1. however, if you like the combi or program with the effects it's "programmed with, you can copy them to the Sequencer with the drop down menu on P0-1. when you click on either "copy from combi" or "copy from program" a menu pops up with check boxes for IFX and other options, giving you the sound you're used to under program or combi mode.
I hope this has helped, but don't forget to check the M3's user manual and Parameters Guide, as most if not all this information can be found in them, and most likely explained better as well
Good Luck and Enjoy!
(i see cello has explained some of this to you already in a different post, haha)

You should instead look at setting up an empty track with the program you want to use as to play along in your sequence. Set it to the current track and play along whilst you are playing the sequence.

Just to be clear, RPPR and such are good solutions, but what you're asking for can't be done. You can't be working with things from multiple modes at the same time.Jacon92 wrote:It would just be very nice to trigger sequences without being in sequence mode sometimes.
