Why does every file created by PA800 have the same date/time

You can create several types of file from the PA800 and save them to SSD user section, attached flash memory device or a hard disk drive. However when I do this the newly created file always has the same date/time stamp, eg "11-12-08 17:21". Why is this, why does the PA800 have no concept of the current date and time.

Well that's not really an answer. Any other computer system, and that's what this is, that deals with file systems will have the facility of time stamping files. How can the Korg developers be so remiss on this. Not to be able to see the chronology of file creation is a huge problem, how could they ignore this?

I had the same concern a while ago when I was trying to merge some style sets.
The date is showing the OS and whatever you create the date comes there.

Time Stamp needs a clock which needs a battery which means problems when the battery goes flat. One less problem to contend with!

No different really to the millions of PC's in the world, It doesn't seem to be an issue for them, they all have internal clocks.

You're right - its seems pretty basic but I've actually had not one but two computers fail to boot up because of dead batteries - easily fixed I know but maybe not on stage if these were keyboards.
The workaround which I guess you know is to put a date in your file names eg. MyFavorite27aug10.set

Yeah, but I don't think any body on the stage would be creating files. Are you sure if in that case the battery fails, anything would get in the way of performance?
Triton studio uses that kind of battery, and mine has gone flat long time ago. I still haven't replaced it, which means if I create files they won't be time stamped correctly. But I can turn on the keyboard and do anything I want. I do in fact name my files the way you suggested. For me that's more descriptive.
