Midi cc help

Hi

I´m using M50 as a controller for V-machine running VB3.

but when i want to play M50 sounds, I need to find a way (other than disconnecting the midi cable!!!) to stop M50 sending midi data to Vb3.
Changing midi channel works only partly. Note-on data stops BUT every time i change program M50 sends all the CC data on every midi channel and keeps messing the VB3 settings totally. (I have to boot it)

SO, have to stop M50 sending CC data when changing presets?
Why does "change midi channel" not work?

Midi channels are for in, if I recall correctly. On the main (Global), set to "Don't send midi", something to that effect.
