Does your power supply adaptor mains plug thing make a buzzing sound?

When you plug it in, of course.

No.

My secondhand Electribe ER1 adapter does, so I replaced it.

Well, I didn't think it was right. Just thought I'd enquire before I took action. I only picked it up the other day, second hand. Even with a slightly dodgy adaptor, it was a bargain though.

My laptop did this! I plugged it in and it buzzed through the speakers. I ended up just never doing them both at the same time :|

sounds more like a ground loop if it buzzes through the speakers, not a faulty adaptor

Yeah, mine doesn't buzz through the speakers, that does sound like a ground loop to me too. Mine just buzzes. Ever so slightly.
